Design Background
Due to the difficulty in the large power grid construction, the diesel generation is still mainly adopted on most islands. It causes heavy noise and serious environmental pollutions, has poor power supply reliability and continuity and cannot meet the daily power demand of islands.
Therefore, the distributed generation system for an island mainly aims at supplying power with high reliability and stability, preventing from power failures due to the shortage of diesel supply and supplying power continuously to islands, and solving environmental pollution and noise pollution problems resulting from diesel generation.


System Brief
The core of the distributed generation system for an island of Soaring Electric is the energy management system (EMS), monitoring system and power conversion system (PCS). Through the comprehensive utilization of a lot of top-end new energy power generation technologies, it is a smart energy system which integrates the distributed generation system, power storage  system, load tracking management and monitoring device and protection device. Besides, it is an autonomous system which can realize self-control, protection and management and can not only tie an external power grid for operation but also independently run under the off-grid condition.
This system can fully utilizes clean energies of islands locally, e.g. PV and wind, disconnect with the reliance on a single power grid and also balance and deploy energies orderly. In addition, all facilities are adopted with special corrosion prevention and salt mist treatments, have high reliability, convenient maintenance and long cycle life, etc. and can meet the power supply demand of particular geographical environments, e.g. island and plateau, for continuity, low noise, reliability and convenient maintenance.
